Party collects the sword Snicker-Snack. Connie takes it and the sword talks to him. He agrees to help with cutting heads of evil dragons. Snicker-Snack seems very eager to slay dragons. Osros doesn't trust it though.
They discuss. They are curious if the Jabberwock is in the Palace. Iggrik tells they might be able to tell if they might be able to open the balcony door. Rio transforms into an owl and goes to open the door across the vortex. Sees the Jabberwock that seems to be sleeping. In the corner of that room a big pile of meet is stored. Between the coiled up sleeping Jabberwock is a cauldron and 2 females frozen in space. Rio then decides to try and find his way back to the central tower as a mouse. Goes into an undiscovered part of the palace so he didn't know the route. But eventually found his way again.
Once Rio is back, he describes the 2 females to Iggrik. He confirms this is Zybilna and Mercion
The party is discusses a lot what the course of action is next. Should they go to the Aviary to free Bloodybeak? Should they try an sneak pass the Jabberwock to unfreeze Zybilna so she can control the beast? Should they just fight the Jabberwock? Should they try and get the Fomorian they met in the canteen to help them fight the Jabberwock? The party is scared to call Elidon twice or for the wrong reason.
Eventually they settle on getting the Fomorian to help them. With some persuading they manage to get her help. Though they keep lingering to long on making the final entry plan. The Fomorian was promised a large mountain of meat and eventually just barges into the ballroom where both the Jabberwock and Zybilna are.
The Jabberwock wakes and a fight happens. Though the Jabberwock makes a burbling noise that confuses the party. Making it a very difficult fight. Connie goes down. Eventually the Jabberwock is slayed by Rio.
They than contact Elidon via the sending stone. They explain that he needs to touch his horn to her and Connie speaks the name Natasha.
Zybilna unfreezes. Once more able to move, Zybilna lurches forward a step, then quickly regains her balance. “Damn. Too late!” she says with a snarl. Her eyes dart around in search of enemies before fixing on you. “Have we met?” she asks.
They party introduces themselves. And tells their story. How they lost something at the Witchlight Carnival. How they were send here to find the answers by Mister Witch and Mister Light. How they found out that the Hourglass Coven took over the control of Prismeer. And that something most have happened to Zybilna.
Zybilna listens intently. She seems fine with the face that her evil sisters are killed. The party tells that there is probably 1 more member of the League of Malevolence around in the Palace. Zybilna flicks her fingers and says that she doesn't notice anyone in the Palace that is not supposed to be there.
Zybilna is very thankful of the help and grants everyone a single wish.
Rio wishes that the 3 of them are made whole again. Zybilna churns the liquid in the cauldron and summons 3 vials of purplish silver liquid from it. She tells them this will return what they have lost if they drink it. But maybe they should think about if they can accept who they have become. If they can accept themselves, they could use the potion to help someone else in the future.
Osros likes answers to why stuff was taken from them in the Witchlight Carnival. Zybilna really likes to tell them but she doesn't know either. And as her sisters are dead they can't tell them either. But maybe Mister Witch and Mister Light can. So with the help of the Witchlight Watch she summons Mister Witch and Mister Light right there in the ballroom.
They are frantically looking around. Then settle a bit. They seem scared and in chaos. Zybilna sillences the 2 and then forcefully speaks that they have the time to come clean. Mister Witch and Mister Light look at each other. Then Mister Witch speaks.
Mister Witch and Mister Light used to be the owners of another carnival. But totally different. A gloomy and dreadful carnival of horror. They are not the delighted people as you think. Mister Witch and Mister Light are shadar-kai from the shadowfell. And they came across the Witchlight Carnival when traveling the planes with their carnival. In a sort of competition to see who's carnival is the best, they decided to swap ownership of the 2 carnivals until they cross paths again in the future.
But soon enough Mister Witch and Mister Light did like the Witchlight Carnival more. And they didn't like to trade back the ownership of the carnivals. So they made a deal with the Hourglass Coven. The Hourglass Coven would make sure they 2 carnivals would never cross paths in exchange for them taking stuff from some of the visitors. Mister Witch and Mister Light didn't have control over who lost what and when. That was all done by the Hourglass Coven.
Now with the Hourglass Coven gone, the control over the Witchlight Carnival is probably also resolved. Yet the party is not happy to send Mister Witch and Mister Light back into control over the carnival. So eventually they decide that Mister Witch and Mister Light should not return back to the carnival. Zybilna dismisses of the 2, they disappear. The party decides that the Witchlight Carnival should be lead by Gleam and Glister as they used to work there anyway.
Zybilna allows the party to stay in the Palace of Heart's Desire if they like. All of them accept that invite and happily stay in the Palace. They are titled as "Lords of Hearths Desire".
Zybilna than tells the party that she has a lot of stuff to fix. So again with the help of Elidon's horn she uses the cauldron to unfreeze everyone in the Palace of Heart's Desire.
Over the next weeks she starts cleaning Prismeer of the corruption her sisters did.
They party helps Zybilna with cleaning her lands and stays behind. Some of the things that happen:
- Zybilna sends some truffles to Jingle Jangle (finishing Find Jingles Jangels truffels)
- Meadowleaf is freed from her position (finishing Free Meadowleaf)
- The Cyclops beekeeper is given his own bumblebee. (finishing Deal with the Cyclops Beekeeper)
Obviously the quest Fix Prismeer is done
