Notes
The party starts entering a cafeteria where a huge Fomorian is eating everything served on the table. With the table cloth under her chin. She asks if they are finally here to bring her the promised cake that Kelek has promised her. As the party has seen a cake in the kitchen they grab it for her and try and convince he to join the party.
Though she is to much distracted eating everything.
So they leave her eating the cake and head back into the kitchen to investigate the root coming from the gap in the wall. Leaf changes into a giant ape and cracks open the wall even more to discover a bean stalk rising up into the sky. The bean stalk has ripped the top part of the castle's tower from it's faundation. Holding it up into the sky.
Here they meet Iggrik a toad with a small wizard's cape. He tells the party he is Zybilna's familiar. A talkative creature. A long conversation takes place. He tells the party that he witnessed the whole castle being frozen. He wasn't affected though for some reason. The party got the following info:
- The vault contains a vorpal sword that can slay the jabberwock. Zybilna acquired the sword as a precaution, in case the jabberwock turned against her. He is not allowed to go near the vault though.
- The jabberwock is not the biggest creature living in the palace. That would be Zybilna’s enormous owl, Bloodybeak. It hates the jabberwock but is confined to the aviary and frozen in time. The password to open the aviary’s windows is “canzus.”
- The Jabberwock is normally coiled up arround the couldron and Zybilna.
Iggrik gives them a direction towards the vault. So they head back down and towards the central towers. They get into one of the turrets of the middle tower. Where they find an enameled red coffer resting on a pedestal of rotting wood in the middle of the room.
After a debate what to do with that they open the coffer finding a red jewel. While holding the jewel they get to understand that his is Zybilna's crystallized desire to punish those who have wronged or defied her.
They leave it and try to find a way into the central tower. They do not find any door to the center. But with the use of the Wand of Secrets they managed to find a hidden trap door leading down. Where they end up into the sind chamber of a throne room. On the throne sits Kelek and next to him Warduke. A short conversation leads to a fight. While Kelek does great damage he dies really quickly. After which Warduke wasn't that much of a issue.
Here the party does a Short Rest and we end the session.
